ADAPTACIONES Y COLABORACIONES VIDEO ARTE PARA DOMO
En 2017 Nueve Voltios propone una colaboración entre estudios audiovisuales llamada Los Hermanos Velcro, junto con el director de cine Santiago Caicedo y su compañía de animación Timbo Estudio. Juntos realizaron una serie de proyectos audiovisuales; entre ellos, adaptaciones para piezas de video arte a formato domo, durante el marco del festival Domo Lleno en su primera y segunda versión en los años 2017 y 2018. El festival abarca piezas de video experimental para domo, presentaciones en vivo y muestras de artistas nacionales e internacionales. En su primera versión, los Hermanos Velcro son convocados para adaptar la pieza de video del artista Jose Alejandro Restrepo, llamada Annus Mundi (2011) a una nueva pieza para formato domo llamada “Cosmogonía Básica”. Se realizaron también adaptaciones a piezas de video en vivo para la puesta en escena de los artistas Jorge Haro y Brian Mackern. Este año, Nueve Voltios es convidado por el artista portugués Pedro Zaz a hacer una intervención sonora como parte de su muestra en vivo 360º llamada “Domecracy”.
En su segunda versión, el Festival Domo Lleno se realizó a nivel nacional, sumando a la escena el domo planetario del Parque Explora en Medellin y el domo de Maloka en Bogotá. En esta ocasión Nueve Voltios tiene la oportunidad, nuevamente junto con los Hermanos Velcro, de adaptar piezas de video arte, tales como la de la artista alemana Rosa Menkman, y de trabajar en conjunto con el video artista brasilero Eder Santos para asesorarlo en la realización de su pieza para domo que, junto con el músico Paulo Santos presentan un show en vivo, en el cual Nueve Voltios también es invitado a una intervención sonora durante el show.

In 2017 Nueve Voltios proposes a collaboration between audiovisual studios called Los Hermanos Velcro, together with the film director Santiago Caicedo and his animation company Timbo Estudio. Together they carried out a series of audiovisual projects; Among them, adaptations for video art pieces in dome format, during the framework of the Domo Lleno festival in its first and second versions in the years 2017 and 2018. The festival includes experimental video pieces for dome, live presentations and National and international video art work. In its first version, the Velcro Brothers are called upon to adapt the audiovisual piece by artist Jose Alejandro Restrepo, called Annus Mundi (2011) to a new piece for dome format called “Basic Cosmogony”. There were also adaptations to live video pieces for the performances of the artists Jorge Haro and Brian Mackern. In its second version, the Full Dome Festival was held nationwide, adding to the scene the planetary dome of the Explora Park in Medellin and the Maloka dome in Bogotá. On this occasion, Nueve Voltios has the opportunity again, together with the Velcro Brothers, to adapt pieces of video artists, such as the German artist Rosa Menkman, and to work with the Brazilian video artist Eder Santos as consultants for the creation of his piece for dome, which was presented along with the musician Paulo Santos’ live show, in which Nueve Voltios was also invited to make a sound intervention during the show.
